Pool Industry Career
During high school and college, Hatfield was involved in running public swimming facilities. She was a lifeguard and swim instructor, held a CPO certificate and trained others in lifeguarding and CPR.
Hatfield later left the aquatic world to begin a career in politics, only to return, utilizing her lobbying talents in various advocacy roles in the swimming pool and spa industry.
She joined FSPA in 2006 as director of government and public affairs, working on legislative and regulatory issues, building codes and national standards and grassroots advocacy, as well as political campaign efforts specific to the state of Florida.
In September 2009, Hatfield was hired by APSP as its government affairs associate.
Education and Experience
Hatfield holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the College of William & Mary and is a graduate of the Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.
She is a member of the Florida Bar and previously worked at the Florida Legislature as committee attorney for the Florida House of Representatives. Prior to moving to Florida, Jennifer worked for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
