Andrew Whalen is a New York-based writer with a long history in and alongside the water. Raised in a family of lifeguards, he is scuba-certified and rescue-trained. Whalen's other passion is film programming, including film scheduling for Hamilton College and the Kent Ave. Film Series in Brooklyn.
